Xioami was busy in testing Android Pie and Dark Mode in Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi Note Pro Received the update. But they forgot about Redmi Note5. What’s new in the latest MIUI Update?

Redmi Note 5 is now getting updated from MIUI build number to MIUI based on Android 8.1 Oreo, the update is primarily aimed at fixing a host of issues and latest Andriod Security Patch Level 2019.03.01.

Here are all the major bugs fixed in this update:

System: Updated Android Security Patch of 2019.03.01

Phone: Notifications about incoming calls will no longer disappear if you’re in a video call. Incorrect UI elements for switching between cameras during video calls were now fixed. Those who couldn’t send SMS during conference calls will now be able to do so.

Lock screen, status bar, Notification shade: The button that returns you to an ongoing call overlapped with has been fixed. You can now select which apps show floating notifications and restricts the ones you want to hide. The issue of the fingerprint scanner not unlocking the phone during calls has been fixed. No earphone icon on notification and scrolling screenshots problem has been fixed.

Settings: Missed call notifications will now come with vibrations when you switch of DND mode.

Recorder: Recording status wasn’t updated in the Notification shad when a recording was paused has been fixed.
